General Description:

Gated 24 hour entrance shared with Callawassie Island, this security gated luxury community is protected by the studied decision to permit only 400 +/- families to share the experience of Spring Island. The tradition of land stewardship on the island will continue, so that future generations can take pleasure in the peaceful enjoyment of its marshes, forests and fields. Nature-oriented residential community of 3,000 +/- acres (1,200 acres comprises of a dedicated nature preserve) is surrounded by the Callawassie Creek and the Chechessee River and Colleton River.

The Old Tabby Links is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. The Equestrian Center has a 24-stall barn, 15 paddocks, and 30 +/- miles of trails.

The sports complex includes six Har-Tru tennis courts and a 13,000 +/- square feet facility that includes rooms for Yoga, Pilates, and exercise equipment. A championship croquet lawn, a community dock, and fine dining at the River House. Resident members have access to prime South Carolina pine and open fields for quail hunting on the mainland.

Understated homes are tucked into the landscape for optimal privacy. Some styles have guest cottages over garages.  Large lots allow for added privacy.  All are view-oriented with commanding vistas of moss-draped live oaks, marshland, golf course, ponds, or deep water some with private docks.

EQUESTRIAN

The equestrian center encompasses 31 +/- acres, with 29.5 +/- acres of pastures and paddocks, an all-weather flat arena and round pen, plus sand and grass jumping arenas. Over 30 +/- miles of manicured trails on the island wind through salt marsh, live oak forests, pine and old agricultural fields.
